OMG!!!
A humongoid fire blazed away at block 233 10-15 minutes ago. Apparently, some wicked idiot promptly tossed his cigarette butt out of his window after puffing happily away and the hot ashes caused the pile of newspapers/cardboard boxes/papers [left on the ground floor by Sheng Shiong] to ignite. Like, OMG! Damn the smoker. Why can't you at least stub out[is it stub? I can't really rmb] your cigarette before you throw it down. Why are you even littering anyway?
Then of course, being kaypoh, we rushed down to block 232 to see it 'live'. Lol wth. There were already a lot of people crowding around. The fire was ginormous! I mean, HUGE! I mean, big fire big fire! The flames somehow reached the air-con thing at the third storey, fourth storey, fifth storey... so on and so forth. I think it went all the way up till the 10th, 11th storey via the air-con thingys. Black smoke were pouring out from the third-storey-unit = the house most prolly be on fire. And the best thing is, the firemen haven't arrived! Like ?! There were crackling and mini-exploding sounds..!
Anyway, the firemen were very slow. They took like, 5 minutes to attach the hoses to the water hydrant. Then, they fumbled for a while before they finally, successfully, got the water coming out from their hoses. Then, they sprayed the water at the ground floor nia you know! The bigger flames were like, all the way up at the 3rd/5th storeys [where ppl are staying] thus everyone was shouting, "Upstairs upstairs!" Do you know how scary it is, to see the flames licking at the units where the people may still be at. Then, somehow, the water stopped coming out from the hoses then there were voices saying "no water no water!". Like wth. The firemen only concentrated at the front part of the block when they first arrived, neglecting the hugeass fire at the back of the block.
Anyhow, I hope that nobody got hurt/injured/died [choy!] during this incident. Safe safe safe please. Its CNY for goodness sake. Its so late you know, people may be sleeping and not know about the fire. ):
